Roanoke Municipal Ambulance Department

   Founded in April of 1980, Roanoke Ambulance is one of 75
    agencies in the Peoria Area EMS System. Like a majority
    of PAEMS agencies, Roanoke is a basic life support (BLS)
    unit that employs Emergency Medical Technicians.
    Roanoke is a volunteer agency, relying on very well trained
    citizens to answer every call. Like any volunteer agency,
    Roanoke Ambulance is always in need of new faces, trained
    or untrained, to join the squad. If you are already an EMT or
    nurse, we will help you join the PAEMS system. If you want
    to serve but don't have the necessary training - we will work
    with you to make sure you are trained and ready to help.

   Roanoke Ambulance gives each volunteer a shift allowance
   based on each 8 hour shift to offset the cost of things like gas,
   uniforms, and meals.

Although our squad members are young at heart, we don't toy around with your health! All our EMTs are licensed by IDPH and ongoing training is provided on a monthly basis to keep our skills up-to-date with the latest medical practices!
