Billing Information

 

Due Date / Late Fee

 

Water bills are mailed on the 1st of each month.  The due date is the 15th of the month.  Any bill unpaid after the 15th receives a 10% late fee. 

 

Delinquent Account

 

If the account becomes two months delinquent, a notice is mailed with a due date to avoid water service termination.  There is a $10 processing fee added for processing of the delinquent notice.  If the account is unpaid by the due date stated on the delinquent notice, water service will be terminated.  A $50 turn-on fee is charged to reinstate the service.

 

Insufficient Funds

 

If payment on the account is returned due to insufficient funds, a letter is sent notifying you of the bounced funds and adding $15 returned check/electronic transfer fee.  The letter will provide (3) business days from the date of the letter to make payment of the amount of the payment plus the $15 fee.  If payment is not made by the specified date and time in the letter, water service will be terminated.  A $50 turn-on fee is charged to reinstate service in addition to the amount of the payment and the $15 fee.

 

Water Service Termination

 

IF WATER SERVICE IS TERMINATED AS A RESULT OF DELINQUENCY OR NOTICE OF INSUFFICIENT FUNDS, payment must be received by 3 p.m. in order for service to be reinstated on the same day.

 

Payments

 

● Mail payment to:

 

Village of Roanoke, 101 N Main St., Roanoke IL 61561-7598

 

● Put in Drop Box located at the end of Village Hall parking lot at 101 N. Main St.

 

Please Note:  drop box is checked ONCE per day after the mail is delivered in the morning.

 

● Pay in Person at Village Hall

 

Please note:  Paying in Person is required if paying to reinstate service shut-off for delinquency or insufficient funds to guarantee water service is reinstated the same day the payment is made.  If payment for reinstatement of service is placed in the drop box, please be sure to include all fees stated in the letter that apply.

 

● Z-Pay Account:  Payments can be automatically deducted from your bank account.  Authorization form can be obtained from Village Hall or from the Village Website at www.roanokeil.org
