Susan Bachman was appointed to the office of Village Clerk in August, 1997.  She was elected to the office in 2000 and was re-elected during the 2005 General Election.  She recently served as President of Central Illinois Municipal Clerks; she served two terms as President for 2003-2004 and 2004-2005.

Susan lives in Roanoke with her husband and three children.  She has been a resident of Roanoke since 1994.  Her husband, Dennis, was raised in rural Roanoke and serves as the County Engineer for Woodford County Highway Department.

She also serves as a volunteer on the Roanoke Ambulance Squad.

She states, "Roanoke is a great community with an excellent school system.  It is a great place to raise children."
